Afterschool Clay - Grades 5 - 8

Students will focus on clay basics and will also be introduced to throwing on the wheel. Students will explore hand building techniques such as pinch, coil, and slab. These techniques allow students to build numerous creative projects. Students interested in learning to use the wheel, will also have an opportunity to learn the basic process of throwing. This class provides a good foundation of skills needed to create a wide variety of projects and more challenging future projects.
