Manage tickets

We have added tiered ticketing to our Wildlings sessions. It is entirely up to you which price you choose to pay and this will have no bearing on the experience that you receive. This is a new thing for us to try and we welcome your feedback. Thanks.

Come and join us at the Wildside and bring your pack of Wildlings! All ages welcome for an afternoon of exploring, learning and spending time together in nature.

Enjoy some Sunday family time Wildside-style as we make natural crafts, read stories by the fire and enjoy being out whatever the weather! These sessions support our learners to forge friendships and be part of a community, develop skills in learning, playing and working collaboratively, taking risks, grow confidence and resilience.

Instructions

What to bring and wear:
Children (and guardians) must be appropriately dressed. We will be running sessions in all types of weather conditions- there is no bad weather, only wrong clothes.

Please consider the following:
Waterproof footwear
Waterproof jacket
Warm layers
Hat, scarf, gloves
Suncream, sun hats
Consider a change of clothes for the child
Water bottle!!
For those little wildlings who are not yet walking properly/ not yet wearing outdoor footwear- consider putting a thin and thick pair of socks on them, then a sandwich/ nappy/ doggy bag over each foot and then a thick outer pair of socks you don’t mind getting extremely muddy and wet.
*We have several pairs of wellies and puddle suits in a range of sizes. Please get in touch if you would like to use any of these for the term. Equally, any donations to our waterproofs/ wellies bank would be greatly appreciated.

Toilets: We have a chemical toilet and changing table on site. Please use considerately and take any dirty nappies home with you. Thank you.

Parking: please note that parking can be very very limited at the Children's Centre. If there are no parking spaces, please do not park on the verge outside of the gates as this can block access to the path. There is a large car park next to Shiremoor library and doctor's surgery, with an access path that brings you out at the Children's Centre.
