SEN/ Reduced Numbers Sunday Family Specials.
We strive to make Forest School as accessible as possible. So we have 3 payment tiers, where you get to choose what's right for your financial situation. We aim for an average ticket price of Tier 2. Currently this is £11.
However, we get that some people might need to, or want to, pay less. You could be far off from payday, or it might have been an expensive month. Similarly, you might be a bit flush this month or you might believe that your experience is worth our Tier 3 price, which is currently £12.
There is no difference in your experience and there is no judgement - just two hours of connecting with nature in our wonderful Wildside community.
These are the same as our monthly family sessions, but we have limited the number of children, for those who NEED a quieter environment. This is an opportunity for the whole family to come and enjoy being in a safe space, each meeting their own needs in a friendly, safe, non judgmental space.
Instructions
What to bring and wear:
Children (and guardians) must be appropriately dressed. We will be running sessions in all types of weather conditions- there is no bad weather, only wrong clothes.
Please consider the following:
Waterproof footwear
Waterproof jacket
Warm layers
Hat, scarf, gloves
Suncream, sun hats
Consider a change of clothes for the child
Water bottle!!
For those little wildlings who are not yet walking properly/ not yet wearing outdoor footwear- consider putting a thin and thick pair of socks on them, then a sandwich/ nappy/ doggy bag over each foot and then a thick outer pair of socks you don’t mind getting extremely muddy and wet.
*We have several pairs of wellies and puddle suits in a range of sizes. Please get in touch if you would like to use any of these for the term. Equally, any donations to our waterproofs/ wellies bank would be greatly appreciated.
Toilets: We have a chemical toilet and changing table on site. Please use considerately and take any dirty nappies home with you. Thank you.
Parking: please note that parking can be very very limited at the Children's Centre. If there are no parking spaces, please do not park on the verge outside of the gates as this can block access to the path. There is a large car park next to Shiremoor library and doctor's surgery, with an access path that brings you out at the Children's Centre.

Please note that smoking and vaping are not permitted on site.
