The Wirral Viking festival is an immersive, inclusive, family friendly event that celebrates the Norse heritage of the Wirral peninsula.

It aims to give residents & tourists the opportunity to learn about the vast historical significance of the Wirral's’ Norse heritage & history, including its high concentration of Norse place names.

  • Using a combination of re-enactments, immersive storytelling & educational talks, we will tell the story of the Wirral Vikings who settled here in 902AD as well as offering visitors the opportunity to learn about the Ancient Norse myths and legends told throughout the Norse world through an immersive storytelling experience.
  • Interactive activities including; live battle re-enactments, immersive storytelling, workshops, live music, themed craft, activity & food stalls, and live demonstrations, makes this two-day event a beneficial feature to Wirral's annual calendar of events.

We are focused on accessibility and inclusivity for all at our festival, we are LGBTQ+ friendly and we are putting in place measures to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to attend and enjoy our event.
