There is something remarkably appealing and delicious about these 2022 Piedmont wines in our Annual Direct Import Offer.

In the hands of growers we have included herein, the result is simply lovely to drink: generous fruit, remarkable perfume, freshness, and a certain ease that makes the wines immediately inviting while simultaneously showing the flesh and bones to promise greatness with some time in the Cellar.

Each producer herein brings something soulful and unmistakably their own:

Fratelli Alessandria: Classic Verduno Barolo with lifted red fruit, savory depth, and an elegant complexity that unfolds in the glass.

Francesco Rinaldi: A traditional Barolo benchmark, with Brunate offering depth and breadth and Cannubi emphasizing perfume, finesse, and silky texture.

Cristian Boffa: BRAND NEW TO THE STATES! A rare, tiny-production La Morra estate making beautifully perfumed, generous, vineyard-driven Barolo with vibrant fruit and graceful weight.

Cantina del Pino: Our beloved generations-old Barbaresco estate led by widow Franca Vacca, whose ‘Ovello’ marries fragrance, red fruit, earth, and depth with a strong sense of family tradition, ‘Gallina’ that ties these wines directly to Burgundy on the Table and in the Cellar, and ‘Albesani’ reflecting an unusually dark-fruited richness.
