...Burgundy has a reputation for being complicated, expensive, and just a little bit intimidating...

Come curious. Leave thirsty.

'Burgundy belongs on your table and in your cellar, not on the auction block. We think it should be delicious. Come join me to explore what's on my dinner table, special occasion or not.' - Jacob

Join us around the Farmtable at our West Hartford Shop for a guided tasting through Burgundy from north to south, red and white, designed to peel back the layers of unnecessary pretention and cost that too often stand between curious drinkers and one of the greatest wine regions on earth.

We’ll taste a lineup of wines from storied, family-owned domaines, producers whose wines are rooted in place, old-fashioned cellar practices, organic and thoughtful farming, and, above all, the simple pleasure of drinking good wine.

Plan to move through Burgundy exploring how villages, soils, climates, grapes, and generations of winemaking shape what ends up in the glass. Along the way, we’ll talk about the difference between terroir and hype, tradition and marketing, value and prestige—and why some of Burgundy’s most compelling bottles are the ones that were never destined for an auction block.

This is a class for the Burgundy curious: longtime collectors, adventurous drinkers, and anyone who has ever looked at a Burgundy label and thought, Where on earth do I start?

No secret handshake required. No decoder ring. No need to spend a fortune.

A curated flight of red and white Burgundies tracing the region featuring family domaines and traditionally minded producers with a focus on farming, place, and deliciousness. We’ll travel the length of Burgundy, from the cool, mineral soils of Chablis through the great Côte and down into the Côte Chalonnaise and beyond, tasting Pinot Noir and Chardonnay side by side and learning to read Burgundy’s famously cryptic labels with a little less reverence and a lot more confidence. Along the way, we’ll explore the wines of villages, regions, and individual sites, discovering when those distinctions truly matter; look at the organic farming and traditional cellar practices that quietly define so many of Burgundy’s best family domaines; and, most importantly, seek out the genuine value that still exists beneath the weight of Burgundy’s prestige. This is Burgundy for drinking, sharing, and building a cellar around, not for turning into an investment portfolio.

THE POUR LIST WILL BE A DELICIOUS SURPRISE.  21+ ID IS REQUIRED!
