Sarah Connors is a playwright based in Cornwall. She attended Luton University and spent twenty years teaching in the primary sector. In 2019, she made the bold decision to step away from her career in education to pursue her long-held ambition of becoming a playwright. Since then, Sarah has been shortlisted for prestigious awards such as the Papatango Playwriting Prize, the Phil Fox Award, the Nick Darke Cornish Award, and the Theatre 503 International Playwriting Award for her play Pushing on Open Doors. The Bush Theatre has sponsored Sarah to participate in the Sphinx 30 Lab, a groundbreaking scheme designed to champion women playwrights. Last year, her debut play, Tre, was performed across Cornwall, receiving positive attention. With exciting projects lined up for 2024 and beyond, Sarah is steadily making her mark in the world of theatre.
