Suitable for complete beginners or those with some experience we will look at ways to generate a daily practice and begin to delve into some simple poetic forms in a light-hearted fun way with close reading of poems, some poetry games and the chance to experiment and explore in your own work.

Please bring a notebook and pen and a willingness to play.

Rosie Hadden won Teignmouth Open Competition in 2022 and was Highly Commended in the Rialto Nature & Place Competition 2023. She was finalist in the Mslexia Single Poem Competition 2024, longlisted in 2025 and was nominated for The Forward Best Single Poem 2025. Recent work has appeared in Under the Radar, The North, Mslexia, Ink, Sweat &Tears, A New Ulster, Modron, And other poems, Acumen, Orbis, and others. She is Chair of Falmouth Poetry Group and Poet in Residence for Wildlife Groundswell and is working towards her first pamphlet. She volunteers one day a week in the Cornwall Poetry Library. She has worked most of her adult life running creative arts workshops in the Arts for Health field.
