Delivered in partnership by The Minack Theatre and The Writers' Block, this seven-week course invites young people aged 13–18 to explore how ideas become live performance. Through practical workshops, participants will experiment with playwriting, directing, devising and collaboration, developing their own creative voice while working as part of a supportive ensemble.
Working with experienced theatre practitioners, you'll discover how writers create compelling characters and stories, how directors bring scripts to life, and how creative teams collaborate to make theatre. Along the way you'll have opportunities to write, direct, perform, share ideas and try out new approaches in a welcoming and encouraging environment.
The course concludes with an informal sharing at the Minack Theatre, where participants will present original work created during the course to friends and family.
