This is a five week course for poets of any experience level with writing and poetry who are looking for new ways to inspire their writing. We will explore how the architecture of our built environment can inform and influence a poem. Over the five weeks we will to aim to produce a strong body of work by reading poetry and writing from new prompts. We will begin by laying the 'Foundations' of our poems.
This course is taught by Georgia Conlon, who is a mentor at The Writing Tree. She is currently completing a '365-day Writing Poetry Challenge' for which she posts a daily poetry workshop @GCtheWriter. She has been published with journals such as 'The North' and 'Aesthetica' and is a scholarship-winning graduate of the Newcastle MA in Writing Poetry.
