Shaykha Shaista Maqbool is an Islamic scholar who spent ten years studying in Damascus, Syria, specialising in Arabic, Hanafi fiqh, hadith, seerah, tafseer, and ‘aqeedah. She studied under numerous respected scholars and holds a tajweed licence, as well as authorisation to teach and issue fatwas. She has a particular expertise in Hanafi fiqh and a strong passion for hadith and seerah. She currently lives in Albany, New York, where she teaches locally and online while continuing her pursuit of Islamic knowledge.
