Join us on Friday, June 26th at Louisiana State University for an engaging, full-day workshop designed for mental health professionals seeking to enhance their skills in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).This program is Approved by the National Association of Social Workers (Approval # 886972298-9629) for 6 continuing education contact hours and has been approved for 6.0 CE clock hours in Ethics (3.0) and Diagnosis (3.0) by the Louisiana Counseling Association as authorized by the Louisiana Professional Counselor Licensing Board of Examiners. Led by experts in the field, this session offers evidence-based strategies to strengthen resilience and improve outcomes for individuals affected by trauma. While the workshop primarily focuses on treating PTSD in children and adolescents, all material and research presented are equally applicable to adult populations. Participants will strengthen their understanding of PTSD assessment, diagnosis, and data-driven treatment, empowering clinicians to deliver better care with greater precision and efficacy.

Learning Objectives:

1.) To acquire knowledge of diagnosis and treatment planning related to trauma-related disorders in youth populations. 

2.) To recognize the importance of neuropsychological theory and research within the field of child development.

3.) To acquire a fundamental understanding of the ethics of trauma-informed care.

4.) To develop an understanding and interest in data-driven models shown to restore healthy functioning and reduce PTSD symptoms following traumatic experiences.

5.) To enhance participants aptitude and confidence in diagnosis and treatment planning activities for PTSD treatment.

6.) Participants will gain a general understanding and perspective of the biological costs associated with traumatic experiences.

7.) Attendees will acquire pragmatic skills and resources to aid in maintaining ethical and competent treatment standards.

8.) To equip learner with general methodology relative to evidence-based methods used to decrease trauma symptomology.

Cancellation & Attendance Policy

All registrations are final. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled training date are non-refundable, and tuition will be forfeited in full. This policy ensures fair planning for venue arrangements, catering, and training materials.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another qualified participant up to 72 hours before the event by notifying the organizers in writing at least three business days prior to the training.

Participants must be present for the entire duration of the training to receive Continuing Education (CE) credit. Partial attendance, late arrivals, or early departures will result in forfeiture of CE credit in accordance with NASW and LCA guidelines.
