TRUSU Pride Parade

Join us for the 16th annual TRUSU Pride Parade as we come together to celebrate Pride, build community, and visibly affirm that Thompson Rivers University is a welcoming and inclusive place for 2SLGBTQIA+ students, staff, faculty, and allies. Together, we reaffirm our commitment to ensure our campus as a place where everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and celebrated.

The celebration begins at 10:00 a.m. with our Pride Resource Fair, featuring campus services and Kamloops community organizations that support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Stop by to discover local resources, connect with organizations, and learn about the services and opportunities available throughout the year. While you're there, stop by our Pride photo booth to capture the day with friends and show off your favourite Pride outfit.

At 11:00 a.m., the parade officially begins as campus and community leaders welcome the crowd and help build excitement for the celebration ahead. Then, together, we'll make our way around campus in a vibrant Pride parade, celebrating inclusion, visibility, and community while showing our collective support for a campus where everyone belongs.

Whether you come with friends, classmates, coworkers, or on your own, everyone is welcome. Wear your brightest Pride colours, bring your enthusiasm, and join hundreds of members of the TRU community as we celebrate Pride together.
