Santa Specials at Threlkeld Quarry 2025

We've got a problem - we've lost Santa! Can you help us find him?

Travel with our trusty steam engine 'Sir Tom' and when we find him, children will receive a present and there are seasonal refreshments for all.

Santa trains will run on:

The weekends 6th / 7th, 13th / 14th and daily from Saturday 20th through to Wednesday 24th of December

Trains will run at 10.15, 11.00, 11.45, 1.00, 1.45, 2.30 and 3.15. 

Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to departure time for checking in.

The trip lasts around 25 minutes and please remember to wrap up warm as not all of our carriages are fully enclosed.

Rather than selling tickets individually, we are selling them as carriage compartments. They are priced as follows:

•  Compartment for 3 people - £30 -------------- (1 compartment per train)
•  Compartment for 4 people - £40 -------------- (3 compartments per train)
•  Compartment for 5 people (max 4 adults) - £50 -------------- (2 compartments per train)
•  Compartment for 6 people (max 4 adults) - £60 -------------- (2 compartments per train)

This event is suitable for children up to 14 years old with those over 14 classed as adults.

Please note that children under 12 months travel free, will receive a small gift from Santa and do not count towards the number of people in a compartment. Please let us know if any under 12 month olds are travelling.

We can't promise snow but there will be plenty of Christmas cheer!
