Every place has a story to tell!
You will leave the Walkshop with knowledge and enthusiasm for exploring familiar and unfamiliar outdoor places and developing your place-based practice. You will receive a toolkit of resources to guide you in future outdoor explorations.
The Walkshop begins at the Inspiring Scotland offices in Slateford. There will be a short introduction indoors before heading outside to explore the fascinating story of this part of Slateford in Edinburgh. On our return to Inspiring Scotland, teas and coffees will be available.”
You will be guided on a short nature and heritage walk to illustrate a place-based approach, so please come dressed for the weather.
The Inspiring Scotland office is at 14 New Mart Road and is a short walk from Slateford railway station. The office is also close to several bus routes. Plan your bus journey using Home - Lothian Buses or similar. On street car parking is available.
