Explore Glasgow Green - flora, fauna and folk lore for children 

Thrive Outdoors Associate Henry Mathias leads a walk exploring the natural and cultural heritage Glasgow Green to spark children's imaginations. 

How can we share stories about the plants, animals and people from our immediate neighbourhood in ways that fire up our own and children's curiosity? 

This highlights some of Glasgow Green's hidden gems and opens up what place-based practice can look like on the ground for children, drawing on Scotland's rich traditions. 

Where? 

Meet under the Pergola at Winter Gardens, Glasgow Green, (behind People's Palace)

What to expect? 

We will meet and gather at 4.30pm under the pergola. 

From 4.45pm we will begin our walk within Glasgow Green, travelling no more than a 15 minute walk back to the Winter Gardens. We will end our walk at 5.45pm back under the pergola for a closing discussion before we close the session at 6.00pm. 

Who should attend? 

This event will be ideal for practitioners and educators from ELC, school and community settings.
