JMC Family Picnic & Nature Afternoon
JMC Family Picnic & Nature Afternoon
Join us for a relaxed afternoon of food, nature, play and connection in a beautiful field near Askerswell, hosted by Clare, Georgia and Raja of Thriving Wild and Harriet of Jurassic Multicultural Network.
We will begin with a shared picnic and a chance to spend time together. If you would like to, can bring a dish that is special to your family, culture or heritage to share. Sharing food is completely optional, and you are welcome to bring your own lunch.
After the picnic, there will be plenty of time to relax, explore and enjoy nature-based activities. You can join in as much or as little as you like. We will also gather around the fire circle for an afternoon snack and story together.
Hot and cold drinks, including water, tea and other refreshments, will be available throughout the afternoon.
Please bring clothes suitable for the weather – rain or shine 😊 - especially hat and sun cream in case of sunshine. Don’t worry, we have spares if you need them.
There is free transport available from Bridport. You can tell us how many people need a lift using the ticket booking link on this page, or by contacting Harriet, especially if you need a booster seat for a small child.
If you are making your own way, the address is Folly Mead Field, Spyway Road, between the villages of Uploders & Askerswell. The site has no postcode, the nearest one being Moens Farm, Uploders, DT6 4PH. More reliable navigation can be by using What 3 words: nowadays.visitor.something
If you need help with booking, please contact Harriet on jurassicmulticultural@gmail.com or 07917 713227
The event is free of charge, but any donation possible on the day is welcome.
