Here's how to recreate it:

2. Set up ticket dependencies — this event has three ticket types. "Book this grotto time" is the parent ticket: it's free, and represents the slot itself. "Child ticket" and "Adult ticket" are the dependent tickets, grouped together under "How many people are visiting Santa?" with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 per order. These dependent tickets only become available once the parent "Book this grotto time" ticket is in the basket — so no one can book attendee tickets without first securing a slot.
