Description
Welcome to Tie-Dye Drama's: Easter Holiday Drama Club: Monday Afternoon, 8-12 yr olds.
Tie-Dye Drama are bringing the good kind of drama to White City this Easter Holiday.
We will be leading a fun and exciting 2.5 hour workshop where young people will play fun games and create their very own, unique show!
We will develop and build participants' confidence to express themselves in their own way and to work as a team, supporting the rest of the group.
General Info
Date and Time: Monday 8th April 1.30-4.00pm.
Age range: 8-12 year olds (Have a child who's interested but outside of this age range? Get in touch and we can work out how to accommodate them: hello@tiedyedrama.co.uk)
Experience Needed: None! We love working with young people from all backgrounds and experience of drama. We're not here to create all singing-dancing stage school performers, we're here to have fun and empower young people to shine in their own unique way!
Venue: The Studio, Westworks, 195 Wood Lane, W12 7FQ. (The building is next door to the restaurants Potager and dear grace. When you enter Westworks, please walk forwards to the reception desk at the end. They will be able to direct you to the studio space on the left hand side).
Price: £15 per young person
Rough schedule for the day:
1.30pm: Soft start drama games during drop off.
1.45pm: Getting to know you activities (our favourite is a Question of the Day such as: which ingredient would you add to the science potion?)
2.00pm: Warming up our bodies and voices (we love our Tie-Dye Drama twist on the one and only: The Floor is Lava!)
2.15pm: Introduce drama activities through using music and freeze frames
2.30pm: Water, small snack (provided by parents/carers) and toilet break
2.40pm: Discuss and collaborate on the theme and focus for today's play. Work out each young person's unique role within the play (directing, acting, movement, sound, arty scenery etc!)
2.50pm: Create the play in the day! Rehearse and gather constructive feedback.
3.30pm: Water and toilet break.
3.40pm: Parents/carers invited back to play an optional family game and then watch the performance
