A slow afternoon of nature connection, rest, and community in the Kent countryside.
Wild Grounds is a seasonal outdoor gathering designed to help people slow down, reconnect with nature, and spend meaningful time outdoors with others. Each event takes place in a carefully chosen location across Kent, creating space to pause, breathe, and enjoy being on the land without rushing away afterwards.
This gathering takes place at the beautiful Well Summer glamping site, surrounded by woodland, open space, and local public footpaths to explore at your own pace.
The guided part of the afternoon will be a 90-minute Shinrin-yoku experience, also known as forest bathing.
Shinrin-yoku is a gentle guided practice that began in Japan and translates to “taking in the forest atmosphere.” It is not hiking or exercise, but a mindful way of slowing down and connecting with nature through the senses. During the session, you’ll be guided through simple invitations that encourage presence, relaxation, and deeper awareness of the natural world around you.
This experience is designed to help calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and create a sense of grounding and ease.
After the guided session, you are welcome to stay and enjoy the site for the rest of the afternoon. Spend time connecting with others, wander the nearby woodland paths, relax with a herbal tea, or simply enjoy being outdoors in a peaceful setting.
Herbal tea will be provided during the event.
There is also the option to pre-order food at an additional cost if you would like to stay for lunch afterwards. Please contact me in advance to arrange this. Alternatively, you are very welcome to bring your own food and enjoy it on site.
Wild Grounds is about more than attending a session and heading straight home. It is about creating time and space to slow down, be outside, and enjoy simple moments in nature with like-minded people.
