CLASS DESCRIPTION
This three-hour intensive offers an in-depth exploration of Horton Technique, focusing on its foundational principles, codified exercises, and technical fundamentals. Through detailed instruction, guided practice, and open discussion, students will deepen their understanding of the technique’s athleticism, precision, and expressive range.
*Recommendation - Bring a water bottle and light snack. There will be a short 10 minute break.
COURTNEY GIANNONE
Courtney Giannone is a dancer, Cyr wheel artist, instructor, and choreographer based in San Diego. Originally from New York City, she holds a BFA in Dance from Fordham University and The Ailey School. Her performance credits include Queen of the Night, Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris, and companies such as Company XIV, Malashock Dance Company, STREB, and
Diavolo. A certified Horton instructor through The Ailey School Pedagogy Program, as well as a certified GYROTONIC® and Cyr Wheel instructor, Courtney teaches nationally and has presented her choreography at festivals, theaters, and educational institutions across the United States. Passionate about preserving the legacy of Horton Technique, she is honored to share its athleticism, musicality, and expressive range with dancers and to continue this tradition in Southern California.
