We are really excited to bring a different kind of candle making workshop to the tipi this October!

Join us in the tipi this Autumn for a cosy evening of Candle making with luxury hot chocolate (with all the trimmings of course!) and some sweet nibbles to indulge in whilst your candles set!

But you won't just be making any old candle! Hannah will teach you how to make a 20 hour candle (using her handmade candle jars) as well as a special box of tealights! You'll take home your candle and box of tealights at the end of the night, as well as a gift bag containing a few extra scented goodies. You'll also receive a gift box to keep your tealights all snuggled up in, should you wish to gift them as an early Christmas present to a friend!

Hannah's workshops are completely unique - guests choose from a large variety of Autumnal essential oils (from cinnamon to sandalwood) and learn how to create their very own bespoke scent blend. Hannah only uses quality natural essential oils and natural soy wax and brings an element of fun and laughter to her classes.

What Do You Get?

YOUR CANDLE: You will create your own unique Autumn scented candle made with planet-friendly soy wax and pure natural essential oils. Your natural non-toxic candle will burn for up to 20.hours and will have a lovely crackling wooden wick! The scents for Autumn are focused on warm, spicy, woody and calming scents,.perfect for Autumn and Winter..Plus the handmade candle jars are Autumn-coloured, making them perfect for the cost inside months! Think deep greens, stone colours and warm oranges.

GIFT BAG: You will also take home a little gift bag, containing unique handcrafted goodies.

HOT CHOCOLATE, TEA, COFFEE & SWEET NIBBLES: at the end of the class you will enjoy delicious hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows with some sweet nibbles, but throughout the workshop there will be endless free tea & coffee. Not just any old tea - from Yorkshire Tea to delicious hibiscus or peppermint "Good Earth" teabags, there is plenty to choose from. Hannah can also cater for dairy free - just ask by emailing hello@timetoburncandles.com ahead of the event or confirm.dietary requirements when Hannah emails before the event.

Is there an age limit?

Anyone over 14 is welcome! Friends, family and partners! All welcome! Please note this class is not appropriate for under 14s.

Why Choose this Candle Making Workshop?

This isn't your average workshop. The candle you create will be completely natural and you can even choose your candle jar out of a variety of colours. Hannah will talk you through every element of the process and it is a wonderful way to spend an Autumnal Friday evening, nestled amongst the fairy lights in the tipi. You will create your very own scent blend, made out of a choice of 12 essential oils. With Hannah's help, you will also leave equipped with a good knowledge of how to make your own candles at home.

What do you need to wear?

It is unlikely you will spill any oils or wax as we are working with small quantities and you have all the gear to ensure no spillages! But in the event that you do, you're welcome to wear something a little less special, so as to avoid getting it dirty! The tipi is under cover and has heat lamps but do bear in mind this is the UK so bring a cosy jumper!

Where is it?

The workshop takes place inside the lovely tipi at Elkstone Studios, Elkstone, Cheltenham, GL53 9PQ.

The unique tipi is set in the heart of the Cotswolds. There are several electric heaters, making it a cosy candle-making experience.

Can you drink alcohol?

This particular workshop is a non-alcoholic event, but there will be tea and coffee and hot chocolate and you're welcome to bring your own soft drinks in bottles. 

Is there Parking at Elkstone Studios?

Yes! Parking is free on site for guests and there is even Electric Vehicle charging available.

What do you do to prepare?

Nothing! Just bring your lovely selves!

Timings for Friday 24th October

6.45-7pm - Guests arrive, make themselves a cuppa and choose their candle jars. Hannah kindly asks that you don't arrive earlier than 6.45pm as she will be setting up and has limited time.

7.00-8.30pm- Candle & Tealight Workshop

8.30-9.30pm - Hot chocolate and nibbles (while your candles set)
