A Festive Evening of Christmas Candle Making - at the Farmer's Yard in Arlingham

Transport yourself back to science class in a beautiful converted barn, nestled in the heart of a family-run working farm, with this unique Winter's evening Candle Making Workshop, run by specialist chandler, Hannah Thompson from Time to Burn.

You will create a 40 hour wooden-wick candle, enjoy festive savoury nibbles and hot drinks and then take home your very own candle and free gift bag.

Create your very own Autumn/Winter scent blend - choose from a large selection of 18 essential oils - from cinnamon and nutmeg to sweet orange - and blend with natural soy wax to create a beautiful Wintery candle.

Don't worry if you've never done it before! Hannah will talk you through every individual stage. If you have been before, Hannah's scents change for the season, so this festive workshop will feature several different oils to choose from!

What's more, Time to Burn's candles are 100% handmade using jesmonite - you can choose from a variety of warm Autumn/Winter colours - from dark green and gold to warm oranges and simple stone colours.

Is there an age limit?

Anyone over 14 is welcome! Friends, family and partners! All welcome! Please note this class is not appropriate for under 14s. 

What do you need to wear?

It is unlikely you will spill any oils or wax as we are working with small quantities and you have all the gear to ensure no spillages! But in the event that you do, you're welcome to wear something a little less special, so as to avoid getting it dirty!

Where is it?

The workshop takes place inside the lovely converted barn on West End Farm at - Farmer's Yard, Arlingham, Glos, GL2 7JL

The unique barn is set in the heart of the Cotswolds and is perfect for Christmas! Sparkly lights and cosy yet spacious!

Can you drink alcohol?

This particular workshop is a non-alcoholic event, but there will be festive drinks and food on the night!

Is there Parking at The Farmer's Yard?

Yes! Parking is free on site for guests and there is plenty of it!

What do you do to prepare?

Nothing! Just bring your lovely selves!

Timings for Tuesday, 9th December:

6.45-7.00pm - Guests arrive, have a drink and choose their candle jars

7.00-8.15 - Festive Candle Workshop

8.15-9.00 - Enjoy festive savoury nibbles and drinks (while your candles set), open your gift bags & a have a good old chin wag!
