Valentine's Candle Making Workshop - with Wine Tasting & Cheese Board

Transport yourself back to science class in a beautiful wine store for an evening you won't forget! 

This is an evening for those wanting a romantic date night for Valentine's or those just wanting to do something for Galentine's.with a friend! It's the perfect opportunity to celebrate Val/Gal Day by doing something different!

Enjoy an evening of Candle Making, run by specialist chandler, Hannah Thompson from Time to Burn, followed by wine tasting, with wines that focus on aromatic grape varieties to compliment the candle making theme! Not only that - you will also get a glass of fizz on arrival AND a cheese board to snack on while you test your lovely wines! 

THE CANDLE WORKSHOP

You will create your very own 40 hour wooden-wick candle to take home.

Create your very own Spring time scent blend - choose from a large selection of seasonal essential oils - from sweet orange to rose geranium and Cedarwood. Blend with natural soy wax to create a beautiful candle.

Don't worry if you've never done it before! Hannah will talk you through every individual stage. If you have been before, Hannah's scents change for the season, so this valentine's workshop will feature several different oils to choose from!

What's more, Time to Burn's candles are 100% handmade using jesmonite - you can choose from a variety of light springtime colours - from mint green and pinks and simple stone colours.

THE WINE TASTING & CHEESE BOARD

While your candles set you will taste some fabulous wines! Vinetopia champion small growers, not big brands, so you can be sure that your wine is specially selected. You will taste a selection of lovely unique wines and enjoy a light cheese board while your candles set.

Is there an age limit?

Anyone over 18 is welcome! Friends, family and partners! All welcome! Please note this class is not appropriate for under 18s due to the wine tasting.

What do you need to wear?

It is unlikely you will spill any oils or wax as we are working with small quantities and you have all the gear to ensure no spillages! But in the event that you do, you're welcome to wear something a little less special, so as to avoid getting it dirty!

Where is it?

The workshop takes place inside the lovely Vinetopia wine merchants in Stroud.

Is there Parking at Vinetopia?

Yes! Parking is free on site for guests and there is plenty of it!

What do you do to prepare?

Nothing! Just bring your lovely selves! I will be in touch regarding dietary requirements closer to the time.

7.00 workshop begins
