Enjoy a cosy Autumn evening in this cosy wine merchants, for an all-natural candle making workshop, run by specialist chandler, Hannah Thompson from Time to Burn.

Experience candle making through a scientific lens: in this workshop you’ll dive into the art and science of scent creation, learning how to master blending to create a powerful, clean scent throw. You will marry natural essential oils with natural pure soy wax to make a unique 40 hour candle.

Hannah will teach you about the different types of wax and oils, giving you a good basis to go home and make your own candles. Or, if you just want a fun creative day or night out with friends, this class is perfect.

CHEESE AND WINE INCLUDED

While your candles set enjoy a generous and delicious cheese board with sweet and savoury, along with a tasting of a variety of wines from Vinotopia. You will also get some great info on the wines from their in-house wine experts! If you have any dietary requirements you will be asked to specify at check out. YOUR CANDLE 

Choose from a variety of coloured handmade candle jars which we have hand crafted for the season - forest greens, oranges, deep reds, neutral stone colours and more.

You will create your own unique Autumn-scented candle made with planet-friendly soy wax and pure natural essential oils. Your natural non-toxic candle will burn for up to 40 hours and will have a lovely crackling wooden wick! The scents for Autumn and Winter are focused on warm, spicy, woody notes like frankincense, clove and sandalwood, with top notes like sweet orange. But worry not - you'll have 18 scents to choose from so there's something for every taste!  

GIFT BAG

You will also take home a little gift bag, containing unique handcrafted goodies. 

FAQs

Is there an age limit?

Guests can join from the age of 14 upwards.

What do you need to wear?

It is unlikely you will spill any oils or wax as we are working with small quantities and you have all the gear to ensure no spillages! But in the event that you do, you're welcome to wear something a little less special, so as to avoid getting it a little messy. The yurt may be an outdoorsy venue, but the heating is so good in there, we will be nice and cosy, but if you want to bring layers you are very welcome!

Is there Parking?

Yes! There is plenty of free parking!

What do you do to prepare?

Nothing! Just bring your lovely selves! 

Timings for Sat 10th November

6.00pm - Guests arrive, grab a drink from coffee shop, choose jar. We suggest you arrive in good time before 11am if you would like to get a drink from the coffee shop as it's busy.

6.15-8.15pm - Candle Making Workshop

8.15-9.15pm - Cheese board and wine tasting while your candles set. Have a potter round Vinotopia shop, chat and relax, open your gift bags. 

9.15-9.30pm - Trim wicks & workshop ends

Refunds

Please note that we are unable to refund unless the ticket can be resold. We will do our best to resell the ticket so do reach reach out and we will see what is possible. Unfortunately if we cannot fill the space we cannot refund the ticket. Note that if you contact us too close to the event (within a week) resale is less likely. 

If you're unable to make it, we will make your candle for you and you can pick it up from our candle kitchen in Cheltenham, along with your gift bag, so you won't miss out! Or we can post it out to you for a postage fee.
