Scent & Sound Workshop: Diffusers, Dried Botanicals & Sound Bath in the Tipi

Make your own Natural Reed Diffuser and Dried Flower Bouquet & then enjoy a Sound Bath for 60 minutes.

To know beforehand
You will need to know your guests' dietary requirements before booking, as you will be asked to provide this information when buying your ticket. You will also need to bring your own yoga mat (or equivalent item) for the sound bath, as well as a little pillow and small blanket. 

Switch Off and Reset
Tucked away inside the cosy tipi at Elkstone Studios, we are hosting a relaxed evening of hands-on crafting and sound healing. Following our last packed-out event in the tipi, this is a straightforward chance to disconnect from the daily grind, try your hand at scent crafting, and enjoy an evening that leaves you properly chilled out.

Natural Reed Diffuser Workshop (4.00 PM – 5.30 PM - approx)
Hannah, who has been creating essential oil scent blends for years, will guide you through the whole process step by step. We will dive into the science behind scent creation, exploring the fragrance pyramid with 18 pure natural essential oils to choose from. You will craft your own unique perfume blend using a high 25% oil concentration, choosing your preferred glass jar or vase, and transforming it into a custom diffuser that will fill your home with fragrance for up to 3 months.

Sound Bath with Still by James (5:30 PM – 6:30 PM - approx)
Once your diffuser is sorted, shift gears for a one-hour sound bath with James from Still by James. Get comfortable, switch off your brain, and let the live tones and vibrations do their work in the unique atmosphere of the tipi.

Build Your Botanical Diffuser (6:30 PM – 7:00 PM - approx)
To finish up, you will build a custom reed bouquet to sit inside your diffuser jar using dried lavender, wheat stalks, and other natural stems. Head home for 7:00 PM with a genuinely impressive, great-smelling creation and a clear head.

The workshop takes place inside the lovely tipi at Elkstone Studios, Elkstone, Cheltenham, GL53 9PQ.
The unique tipi is set in the heart of the Cotswolds. There are several electric heaters, making it a cosy candle-making experience.

4:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Essential Oil Diffuser Workshop with Hannah

5:30 PM – 6:30 PM: Sound Bath with Still by James

6:30 PM – 7:15 PM: Dried Flower Reed Bouquet Assembly

Included: All materials for diffuser workshop (18 essential oils, choice of jars, dried flowers & reeds as well as every material required to make your diffuser), the 1-hour sound bath, and unlimited tea & coffee. 

Not Included: Yoga mat, small pillow and little blanket for sound bath. Please kindly bring your own.

What do you need to bring?

Importantly, please bring your own yoga mat and small pillow for under your head, for the sound bath. 

Is there an age limit?

Anyone over 14 is welcome! Friends, family and partners! All welcome! Please note this class is not appropriate for under 14s.

What do you need to wear?

You're welcome to wear something comfy and a bit less special, so as to avoid getting it dirty! It is unlikely you will spill oil down you, as you are working with small quantities and we have silicone mats on the tables, but it's better to be safe than sorry! We do not provide aprons. We are also in a tipi (albeit under heaters!) so bring layers, if it is a chillier day. It is in March though so it may well be lovely and warmed up by then! You will be lying on the yoga mat on the ground so we suggest comfies!!!

Is there Parking at Elkstone Studios?

Yes! Parking is free on site for guests and there is even Electric Vehicle charging available.
