TIG 102 - Aluminum Certification for TIG Welder (Alum AC use) in the Welding Shop
This is part two of TIG certification. Prerequisites are WBS 101, MIG 101 and then TIG 101.
This class will certify use of the TIG welder for Aluminum use (AC). This will go over:
- Tungsten Prep
- Torch Setup
- Positioning of Torch for various welds
- Application of filler rod
Please bring your own PPE and Welding helmet, there is spare gear if you need. This class will supply Tungsten and Filler rod to use.
TinkerMill supplies TIG Torch supplies during class and on a regular basis (collets, gas lenses, ceramic cups, etc.) After completion of this class when welding on your own you will bring your own Tungsten and Filler Rod.
Non-members and members can take the class, but only members can use the space and tools following the session
Class size: 4 max
Minimum age 14. All minors under the age of 18 must have a certified legal guardian with them at all times. If the minor is taking a certification class, the legal guardian needs to be taking the class as well.
