Ready to get your hands dirty and create something unique? This introductory course, perfect for complete beginners or those returning to clay after a break, will equip you with the fundamental skills of throwing on the potter's wheel.
Over six, 2-hour sessions, you'll learn:
- Wedging Techniques: Master the art of preparing clay for the wheel.
- Centering: Gain control and ensure a smooth foundation for your creations.
- Pulling Walls: Transform a lump of clay into functional pottery shapes.
- Trimming & Decoration: Refine your pieces and add a personal touch.
- Glazing: Bring your creations to life with vibrant glazes.
This comprehensive course covers the basics, providing you with the knowledge to create successful, functional pieces.
Each week there will be open lab hours when you can come in and practice your skills. Times will be discussed during the first class.

- Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Materials Fee: $25 (collected at the first class)
- Wearable Clothes: Dress for a mess! Clay can get muddy. You can bring an apron or a towel to cover your lap.
