Pottery: Date Night | Wheel Throwing
Spend an evening at the wheel with a partner, friend, or that person you’ve been meaning to ask out. There’s something really grounding about working with clay—it’s messy and meditative, and gives you something to do with your hands while you actually talk to each other. We’ll have candles, music, and a cozy space set up to help you slow down and connect.
We’ll walk you through the basics of throwing—centering, opening, pulling up walls—and you’ll each make a piece or two to take home. Bowls, mugs, small planters, whatever calls to you. No experience necessary. Wheels are shared between pairs unless the class size allows for individual wheels - but it's more fun sharing! You'll get to keep something you both made with your own hands.
Class is BYOB and you’re welcome to bring snacks. We’ll have aprons but wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little muddy. All materials, tools, and firing included—I’ll trim, glaze, and fire your pieces, and they’ll be ready for pickup in about 4-6 weeks.
