Woodcarving 101 - Cottonwood Bark Carvings Gnome
Woodcarving 101 - Cottonwood Bark Carving class.
Let's change it up and carve some cottonwood bark!
Did you attend one of the Gnome classes or just want to advance or try out your carving skills? Join me in this fun new class!
This class is scheduled to be an introduction class, the cost is less since we will dive right into carving!
This class is designed to instruct carvers on the process of carving a piece of Cottonwood Bark The size and shape of the carving will be up to the student as I will have several sizes of wood blanks to choose from.
Each student will pick out a piece of wood and using their imagination sketch out their design to carve. Like Gnomes, this design can be pretty simple, I will guide the whole process.
I will also have an assortment of knives and tools for the student to choose from. Comfort is a big part of carving so a proper fitting knife can insure safety and efficiency.
The incentive to take this class is once you have completed it, you can join me in the future classes to carve different pieces in the Event Center.
DISCLAIMER - Woodcarving is a serious craft, knives and tools are razor sharp and students must be aware of safety at all times. I will show the best way to hold and handle tools. Cuts happen but most can be prevented with proper caution.

Looking to have a minimum of 2 students, maximum will be 5 per carving session unless a student has their own knife. If a class is full, contact me to see if space can be made available.
