Stone Setting with Cold Connections! 

In this class you will create a stone set pendant. We will cover the basics of design using tabs to securely and effectively hold the stone to the pendant. We will also explore textures, layers and rivets. This class will not use torches to complete these tasks, so it makes it a valuable skill for all aspiring and seasoned metalsmiths. Please note: this class closes 5 days before the event, to allow ordering time for extra materials. Please be aware.

This class will be using copper and brass for the project, along with a selection of stones and beads for setting. If you wish to bring your own materials please contact your instructor ahead of time for a full list of what you will need. All materials are included in the price of the class and no further discounts will be issued. If you wish to utilize our sterling silver packet for the project you may add it to your purchase. The option will describe all that is included. You must show your purchase ticket to obtain your packet at the beginning of class. 

What to bring: 

• Hydration of your choice with a lid
• closed toed shoes 
• proper shop attire (no sandals, or short shorts, some sleeves, no long or loose dangling jewelry or accessories)
• Notebook or sketchbook for notes and sketching. (paper is available in the shop)

The shop minimum age is 12, however for this project it is suggested that 14 and up should be able to complete this project with little to no problems. Please contact the instructor with any questions in this regard. All minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a paid adult attendee. Please see the family bundle for more than one minor attendee.
