Description
This event invites community members to bring in their broken items, ranging from electronics, clothing, bicycles, small household appliances, to toys, for hands-on repair experiences in a bid to promote sustainability and reduce waste.
Event Highlights:
1. Expert Tinkerers on Deck: Skilled volunteers from TinkerMill will be available to assist with repairs across various categories, including:
- Electronics: Radios, laptops, phones, etc.
- Furniture: Chairs, tables, drawers, etc.
- Clothing: Torn seams, missing buttons, etc.
- Small Appliances: Toasters, blenders, lamps, etc.
- Bicycles: Adjustments, punctures, etc.
- Toys: Broken parts, assembly issues, etc.
*While every attempt will be made to repair your item, there are no guarantees.
**Admission: Free for all! Donations appreciated.
2. TinkerMill shops include: woodworking, machining, electronics, welding and more. See these shops in use by experts and learn how they are used.
3. Community Building: Engage with fellow community members, exchange repair stories, and collaborate in an environment passionate about repair and sustainability.
All community members are invited, whether they have items in need of repair, wish to offer their repair expertise, or simply want to experience the spirit of the event. Potential volunteers or those wishing to share their repair skills are also encouraged to connect (please email info@tinkermill.org if you would like to volunteer).
*Please note that we can not accept materials for disposal nor handle hazardous material. If in doubt contact us before bringing your items.
