Fat Forest Fourteen

Join us Saturday February 10th, 2024 for the Fat Forest Fourteen. This is an annual fat tire bike race held at the Tioga Recreation Area in Cohasset, MN. The race is hosted by Grand Rapids & Itasca Mountain Bike Association (GRIMBA) and Ardent Bicycles. Additional sponsors include Salsa Cycles and Onyx Racing Products.

Race Distances:
Choose between a 7, 14, and  21 mile course on expertly groomed fat bike trails.

9:30 am Mandatory Rider Meeting
Race will begin shortly after the meeting

Race Cost:
$50.00-Online registration is open until February 9th at 5:00 pm. No in person registration on the day of the event so you must register online ahead of time.

Awards/Raffle and Chili feast:
An awards ceremony will take place immediately following the race at Rapids Brewing in Grand Rapids, MN. Chili will be provided.

There will be awards for the top 3 males and females in each race distance. There will also be some raffle prizes for registered racers. You must be present to win in the raffle.

New this year - what3words app:

This year we strongly encourage all participants to download the app called what3words. What3words is the easiest way to describe any precise location. It has divided the world into 3 meter squares and given each one a unique identifier made from three words. For example, the Tioga Recreation pavilion is located at 'conjunction.fabricate.paths'. The local emergency personnel and race organizers utilize this app. If you have a problem somewhere out on the course, you can contact the race director and notify them exactly where you are by stating the 3 word location given to you by the app. This will help us to locate you quickly. Please install this free app on your phone before race day.
