Tipping Point East: Site and Study Tour

Individual sector professionals, students and the general public can now visit our site to learn more about circular construction, material reuse, green skills and regenerative development at TPE. Visits provide direct access to live operations including material storage and processing, workshops, training programmes, research spaces and demonstrator projects.

Tour structure:

1. Introduction to the Tipping Point East and its set up and mission
2. Overview of the work of its founding organisations: RESOLVE Collective, Yes Make and Material Cultures
3. Tour around the 3 distinct work areas of the site (Material Store, Material Yard and Material Library)
4. Q&A 

You will learn about:

• Governance, funding and partnership structures
• Circular infrastructure, material flows and logistics
• Design processes for reuse and bio-based materials
• Material justice in the cultural sector

Visits typically last up to 90 minutes.

Before the visit:

As we operate from a busy site please make sure you come prepared:

• wear closed toe shoes and appropriate clothing for outdoors
• bring a water bottle if it hot
• let us know advance if anyone has accessibility needs as the tour includes walking and standing, and occasionally loud machinery

You will be briefed at the beginning of the tour about health and safety in more detail.
