DANSE | SF BALLET SCHOOL | THURSDAY MARCH 28th| 6:00PM

The trainee program of the SF BALLET SCHOOL will be in our theater for a unique and free event.

THE SF BALLET SCHOOL

The San Francisco Ballet School offers a challenging curriculum, taught by faculty members drawn from the ranks of San Francisco Ballet and companies around the world. The School benefits from its close relationship with the Company. In fact, the School is a fundamental part of the institution—73% of the Company’s dancers are trained at SF Ballet School. We emphasize strong classical technique, a flow of movement, and athleticism that suggests a sense of energy, freedom, and joy. This style—which reflects the kind of dancing favored by SF Ballet—adapts to meet the demands of any choreographer, any company, and any type of movement.

THE TRAINEE PROGRAMM

Established in 2004, the San Francisco Ballet School Trainee Program is a one- to two-year pre-professional program comprised of students chosen from the School's advanced levels as well as from the School Year auditions. This comprehensive program provides the experience necessary to ease the transition from student to professional dancer, while offering personal attention in a close, nurturing environment.

SF Ballet School students who wish to pursue a career as a professional ballet dancer are hand-picked by the School Director to join our Trainee Program. These chosen few can expect a demanding curriculum that requires 100 percent commitment. Accordingly, we offer Trainees a financial package that removes some of the pressures of paying for tuition and finding housing.
