Walney Island RAPA – Online Community Workshop

About This Event:
We are gathering views from people who live, work, volunteer, or spend time on Walney Island as part of the Walney Island Rapid Adaptation Pathways Assessment (RAPA). The Walney Island RAPA is looking at what supports everyday life on Walney Island, how disruption affects communities and services, and what may need to be considered in future planning.

The purpose of this interactive 1-hour online workshop is to better understand what matters most to people, how disruption affects everyday life, what services and facilities communities depend upon, and what challenges and opportunities may need to be considered in the future.

The information collected during this session will be used to help develop the evidence base for the Walney Island RAPA. There are no right or wrong answers. We are interested in your experience, concerns, priorities, and local knowledge.

Event Focus:

  • The people, places, services, and activities that support everyday life;
  • Important community and business dependencies;
  • The impacts of disruption on communities and organisations;
  • Future pressures and challenges facing Walney Island; and
  • Priorities for future planning and adaptation.

  • Format: Online Zoom (A joining link will be sent to your registered email when you register).
  • Cost: Free
