News Reading Club October Meeting

After a full room at our inaugural meeting, one thing was clear: people are hungry to come together and talk about the news in a way that feels informed, generous and productive. TOMO mags and the Trust Project are keeping that conversation going. The News Reading Club™ brings people back together to seek out, share and discuss news on issues that matter.

The News Reading Club™ is a program to exercise our brains and strengthen our communities.

In October, we turn to the midterm elections. With Election Day on November 3, the headlines, ads, polls and posts are coming fast. We'll slow down and read together: how to tell reporting from opinion, what a poll can and can't tell us, where a claim comes from, and how to talk about politics with people who see it differently. Nonpartisan by design, this is a space to get informed, not to be told what to think.

If you have ever felt unsure talking about the news, especially in an election year, you are not alone. This is a way back in.

Stay tuned for more details.
