Wipe your feet and enter the iconic Mansion for an immersive, site-specific piece like no other. Moving through the building’s hidden corridors, grand rooms, and open courtyard, you will witness a funny, vibrant, and heartwarming piece exploring the prospect of a future of empty spaces if local memories and anecdotal stories are no longer told, lost... wiped.

For this ambitious artistic takeover, our multi-generational cast (ages 6–86) has been inspired by local residents in their 70s and 80s who passed their lived stories to them directly. Under the direction of Sarah Veevers and scripted by Mich Sanderson, these precious memories are boldly interpreted in collaboration with professional actors and, take your part, as they are returned to the community where they belong.

Expect an immersive journey full of movement, energy, and mischief in the Mansion. We are committed to ensuring our town’s culture is shared by everyone; the route is user-friendly and fully accessible, welcoming all bodies to join the journey. Join us for this moving mission to ensure the heart of Totnes is never erased.

What to expect on the day:
This performance is an immersive promenade piece, meaning we will be moving together through different parts of our much-loved Mansion. The route involves some walking and includes stairwells. There will be some sit down moments along the way. If you need a step-free route, we have fully accessible tickets available. Please choose this option when booking.
