Puppet Workshop AM
Animals (and Birds) Invade Totnes!
Help create the spectacular opening procession for Totnes Fringe Festival 2026.
On Sunday 5 July, storyteller and puppeteer Tony Gee and his team will lead two FREE puppet-making workshops at The Seven Stars:
🦜 Morning Session: 10am–1pm
🦒 Afternoon Session: 2pm–5pm
Together we'll create an extraordinary menagerie of animals and birds from every continent on Earth. Expect kangaroos, parrots, monkeys, penguins, snakes, penguins, giraffes and create the tale of a magical whale.
Our goal? To make 100 puppets in a single day.
The finished creations will take over Totnes Civic Square on Thursday 9 July at 5pm before leading the opening procession for Totnes Fringe Festival.
These are not drop-in sessions. You must book in advance and arrive on time, as you'll need the full workshop to complete your puppet. Parents/Guardians drop off, you don’t need to stay.
Suitable for ages 6+ who can be left for the duration of the session.
