Grow Share x Totnes Pride

The Grow Share is a queer-led collective, community growing initiative based at Pondfield. We are a member-led organisation, volunteering our time each week to tend to the garden.

Join us in the day from 2pm for collective garlic planting, queer weed dating and a talk on queer ecology of bugs and hedgerows.We’ll harvest together, show you around the land and enjoy some iced tea refreshments. Pick your own flowers and rainbow chard to take away too.

From 5pm, we’ll be making pizzas to share on our wood fired oven, salad and a gluten free alternative. With toppings grown, and harvested from the land.

We understand not everyone can make a week day time event so would also welcome those who can also join us from 5pm - 7pm for harvesting and pizza. 

Travel: If you’d love to come but might struggle to get to our location, we can support towards travel costs or organise lift shares from Totnes for those that need it.

What to bring;

We recommend wearing suitable clothing and shoes for outdoor activity. Dress for the weather and make sure to bring suitable hats, sun cream or rain coats! We have a shelter area available although most of the site is not under cover. 
If you have gloves and hand tools suitable for gardening please bring them along. GrowShare can provide equipment for anyone that needs it. 
About our space: 

We are a growing space with vegetable and flower patches alongside grass and wood chip paths. The garden is on uneven, sloping ground.
