Latin Jam Session

Mark your calendar every month as Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club fills with the irresistible pulse of clave. Our house band dives into classic and contemporary Latin grooves, from salsa, Bolero, Son, Cha-Cha-Cha to Cumbia, Bachata, Merengue and Latin jazz. Musicians and singers can bring their instruments and join in with the fun for free. Audience tickets available if you just want to come and soak up the infectious energy.

The doors swing open at 6:30 pm, and the night kicks off with live music at 7:30 pm,
creating a vibrant atmosphere that will hold you in its sway until the late hours!

How to join the jam

Pick up a Musician ticket online or on the door (free with bar purchase).

Sign up with the host: list your instrument/vocal range and preferred tunes/keys.

Respect the groove: short solos, listen, and support each other.

Common repertoire: "Oye Como Va", "El Cuarto de Tula", "Manteca", "Besame Mucho" (Latin jazz feel), - plus your favourites.

Backline & Setup

• House kit, bass amp, piano, PA & three vocal mics provided
• Bring: sticks, cymbals, horns, guitars, percussion (congas/bongos welcome)

Can beginners join?
Absolutely, we’ll group sets so everyone shines.

Do I need to prepare tunes?
Suggested, but not required. If you call a tune, be ready to lead it.

Is there space to dance?
Yes. Please be mindful of musicians and staff when moving through the room.
