A Picnic Under The Daystar

Hop on the Sunshine Trolley and spend time with the Daystar: The Sun!

Ride to Eagle Butte Observatory to enjoy a classic, catered picnic by Station Coffee Company. There will be sandwiches, cookies, watermelon cups, and beverages.

Amateur Astrologist Rod DeVries will guide everyone through an engaging and interactive presentation all about the sun, which will include playdough, eclipse glasses, and prisms. View the sun through a special solar telescope. 

This is an event for the whole family.

All picnic lunches include a watermelon cup, and your choice of a selection of cookies and drinks.

Sandwiches will be served on fresh in-house baked bread, with your choice of toppings.

The Sunshine Trolley departs the Visitor Information Centre at 12:30pm. The tour will be about two hours.
