Are you creating circular waste solutions in Tower Hamlets? Are you keen to collaborate with others working towards this?

Tower Hamlets Food Partnership's Quarterly meetups offer a space for everyone who wants to bring more circularity to our local waste systems to life. This is space to find out what others are doing locally, to discuss collaboration ideas, and to problem solve collectively. 

This feeds into our collectively formed collaboration strategy:

Strategic theme 6: COMMUNITY LED CIRCULAR WASTE SOLUTIONS - Build towards circular waste solutions in our Borough’s food system

Why?

Our current local context offers a great opportunity for creative collaboration to reshape waste within our food system - Tower Hamlets as the densest Borough of London has the opportunity and funding to figure out how to collect food waste effectively by 2027 (a year extension beyond most other London Boroughs due to our particular challenges).

We also have incredible innovations within the Borough around composting, food surplus redistribution, anaerobic digestion, mushroom growing using food waste, and more. Through collaboration we want to invest now in creative solutions that build circularity into our food system, and build up circularity of resources and wealth within the Borough, rather than using the time and funding we have access to currently to create linear solutions to food waste that do not cycle resources and wealth back through.
