We welcome you through the doors of Townhouse to a kink event that puts focus on the community, connection and experiences. For 20 years RD has been a space for all, whether you are new to the scene, experienced, or practically part of the Townhouse furniture, Radical Desire is the space for everyone to indulge in kink play. 

At RD, you can find a place where you can enjoy all your favourite ways to play, whether that’s Impact, Electrics, Wax, Rope, Sharps, or something else, in a friendly and fun environment. Four floors dedicated to kink, with spaces like the dungeon, wheel room, medical Room and Elevation Room (with a frame made specially for rope and suspension). We even bring our RD Kit Bag out for you to try.

What to expect?

RD is a fantastic event for all levels of experience. We aim to create a welcoming environment for you to discover and explore. For our new players, we fill RD with lots of fun things to see and do, so whether you come alone, with friends, or partners, plenty is going on. At each RD, we will always have a minimum of the following:

• An Opening Scene - Featuring our community showing how they like to play.
• A Kink Experience - Something you can try and get involved with, who knows, you might even get a sticker for taking part!
• A Social Hour - A community hour in which to connect, try out our RD kit bag*, speak to our experienced community members, and even show off your own kit too. 

*The RD Kit Bag - For those interested in trying something new, we’ll have the RD kit bag available on the night, filled with a collection of incredible kit from some of the best creators. The RD kit bag will be available in the lounge between the standard hours of 8 pm - 11.30 pm on the night for you to browse, discover, and find kit to borrow for the evening. Kit will be signed out against your locker key and will need to be returned to the bar/front desk at any point of the night before 1.30 am.

Dress Code

As RD is a kink event, we usually state in the listing that outfit requirements are 

a minimum of all dark clothing. We encourage you to find your style, whether that’s alternative fashion, fetish wear or dressed to impress.

From some more simple all-black but smart outfits all the way to latex and chains and not much else! Just because we state all dark clothing as a minimum doesn’t mean we want everyone in black, we love seeing bright colours and seeing how everyone expresses their different kink/fetish styles and personalities!

We request attendees do not come in wearing blue jeans, Ugg boots, white trainers or sportswear unless you are planning to change on arrival!

Sexual Play

RD is a safe place to enjoy kink and BDSM play without the pressure of sexual elements. That said, we know this forms a key part of kink/BDSM for lots of people too, and so we have specific places/rules for sexual play as follows:

• The Bunks Room is available for all types of sexual play as part of a scene.
• Private rooms can be used for sex and sexual play with the doors closed; these rooms are the two top-floor private rooms and the medical room.

Ticket Info - Price Change

Purchases through Ticket Tailor are your locker deposit for the event. This secures your space for the evening, acts as your locker deposit, and is deducted from your bar bill on the night (unless you cancel or no-show). A couples ticket secures a single locker for 2 people.

On the night, entry is £15 cash per person for members of Townhouse, and £20 per person for non-members. See further down for more information on memberships.

The not so small print......
Names on Ticket - For safety, the name on your ticket MUST match the name on your ID. Please do not use ‘N/A’, a scene name or a pseudonym as this will invalidate your ticket. The only person who will see the name on your ticket is the staff member checking you in. Respect and privacy are important to us. We understand that the name on your ID may not be the name you use.

Times - Doors open at 8:00pm and the venue closes at 2:00am. First-time guests must arrive by 9:30pm. Established members may arrive up until 10:30pm, when the doors are locked.

Deposit -Everyone is required to pay a £10 bar tab deposit in cash upon arrival. This deposit will be deducted from your final bar bill when you leave.

Membership - Membership is £10 per person, paid annually in cash. New couples and single ladies must join on their first visit, unless it is a one-off visit from outside the North West, in which case the visit will be logged. If you return in the future, you will be required to purchase membership. Single guys are not granted membership on their first visit. Please refer to our Membership page for more details.

Gender and Ticketing -Trans women should purchase a single female ticket, not a Gender Diverse ticket. Trans men should purchase a single male ticket. Gender Diverse tickets are only for those with a Gender Diverse membership. We define this as anyone who expresses their gender differently, but does not identify as Trans, (a previous name for this has been TGirl.) Non-binary guests are asked to contact: sarah@townhouseswingers.com to arrange membership.

Couples -We do not allow people to “couple up” just to attend an event together. Couples tickets are for genuine, established couples. Anyone found breaching this rule will have all future tickets cancelled (non-refundable) and their membership suspended. Couples can be of any gender, what matters is that you are in a committed relationship and attending as a genuine couple.

Single Guys - Single guys must attend alone. Groups or pairs of single guys will be refused entry.

ID - We prefer a driving licence for ID, but we also accept: A passport and a recent bill/official letter (electronic format is acceptable). If you do not hold a passport or driving licence, you may bring two official letters/utility bills/bank statements, dated within the last 3 months. Both members of a couple must provide ID if they are not current members.

Cancellations - If you can’t make it, please email us as soon as possible: info@townhouseswingers.com. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, so only book if you're 100% certain you can attend. If you no-show without informing us before the event begins, you will receive a strike. See our website for details on the 3 strikes rule.

Parking - Please do not park in Booker’s car park or on Union Street. You may park in the Maritime car park across the road, next to the A41.
Note: Parking here is at your own risk. We are not responsible for any vehicles or property left in this car park, and it is not covered by our CCTV.

Card Payments - We do not accept American Express payments. We have a £5 minimum spend for all card payments.
