Erinys Quartet

The internationally award-winning Erinys Quartet is a force of joy, power, and prodigious unity. These brilliant artists unequivocally delight in music-making — a delight that can’t help but be shared by audiences and acclaimed worldwide! 

Named for the Erinyes (a.k.a. the Furies) from the Greek tragedy Oresteia by Aeschylus, Erinys Quartet was founded at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, with roots in Estonia, Lithuania, Greece, the US, & Finland.

Erinys Quartet won first prize at the 2025 Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition in Norway. They also won the Bronze Medal at the 2024 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition. At the Bad Tölz International String Quartet Competition in 2023, they received the Audience Prize, as well as the Esterházy Foundation Special Prize.

In the ‘25-’26 season, the Erinys Quartet presented concerts throughout the US & Europe, including debuts at the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society & the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland. They also gave concerts around the US with Curtis on Tour, performing with pianist Michelle Cann, violist Roberto Díaz, & cellist Peter Wiley. Erinys Quartet is currently the quartet-in-residence at Indiana University. Prior, they were the quartet-in-residence at The Curtis Institute of Music, where they received their post-grad diploma.
