Creative Borders - Seated Quilting
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to enhance your border skills, this class explores how to quilt clean, effective borders using both freehand and ruler work. You’ll learn how to avoid common issues and add definition, flow and flair to your quilt edges.
You’ll cover at least 5–6 border treatments during the workshop and leave with your own stitched reference samples.
What you’ll learn:
• How to stitch continuous freehand borders with confidence
• Techniques for ruler work and consistent alignment
• Solutions to common border quilting challenges
What’s included:
- All materials: Fabric, batting, thread and notions required to complete the class
- Use of a Bernina Q24 Frame or Q20 Seated Longarm
- Refreshments: Light lunch, tea and coffee throughout the session
- Time: 10am – 4pm (6 hours)
- Digital support materials: (PDFs) to review at home
