Trade Up: Giftable Trades Barter Fair
When: Saturday, December 13 • 12:00-3:00 pm
Where: Social Good Place • 4511 SE Main St, Portland, OR 97215
Theme: Gift-ready offerings — handmade, homegrown, or service-based — perfect to share or trade, not necessarily holiday themed but ready to give.

Who can participate:

• Product barterers: bring your goods and display them on a table (sharing a ~6′×2′ table space)
• Service/Experience barterers: you may choose to roam and trade throughout the event, or station yourself at a high-top table or the counter area of the gathering hall

Accessibility & Transit:
Note: The event space is up one flight of stairs; there is no ramp or lift. Gender-neutral restroom is available on site.
Conveniently accessible via transit: The venue is on the TriMet 14 Hawthorne/Foster bus line.
Street parking is available nearby, but we encourage public transit if you can.

Schedule:
12:00 – 12:30 pm — Arrival & setup
12:30 – 12:45 pm — Welcome & orientation
12:45 – 2:15 pm — Browsing, mingling, and active trading
2:15 – 2:45 pm — Wrap-up trades, connections, informal networking
2:45 – 3:00 pm — Closing thank-you, housekeeping, last chance trades

Volunteer call:
We also need non-barter volunteers to help with registration, setup, check-in, signage, and clean-up. If you’d like to volunteer, please register here as well — thank you for helping make this community event possible!

What to bring:

• For product barterers: your items, packaging as needed, and display materials for your table
• For service/experience barterers: a description of your offering (e.g., a card or sign), gift certificates (or similar) readiness to connect and document and track your trades. 
• Labeling for food or edible items: please include ingredients/allergens clearly
• A positive attitude and curiosity for what others bring

Registration:

• This event is free for everyone, thanks to the generous donation of space by Social Good Place!
• Space is limited — you must register in advance and complete your profile if you’re planning to barter.
