Behind the Scenes - Set Design
A practical, creative workshop in which students can learn about the professional world of a set designer and create their own original model box. This will be an engaging workshop for students who want to learn more about 'backstage' and the role of a designer within a performance.
Participants will:
- Learn about the role of a professional set designer and get a chance to ask questions.
- Take part in sketching and 'mark-making' activities.
- Create a design for their own theatre show, in response to a theme.
- Make a model box using a range of materials to take home.
- Explore other elements such as lighting and costume.
No experience of design is needed. This is a fun, engaging session open to all levels and abilities.
