Union Festival - N-Abled presents I'm Possible Not Impossible
Multiple dates and times
Tramshed, SE18 6ES
Description
I’m Possible, Not Impossible is a newly commissioned action-filled dance-theatre show that challenges the idea of the ‘Superhero’ and is professionally directed and performed by local disabled people. Sick of being labelled by media as a hero simply for existing, or their disabilities used as villainous traits in film and television, the N’Abled performers will educate, entertain and enthral audiences in a world of intersectionality, celebration and ridiculousness.
Through punk ideologies, humour and an original script, I’m Possible Not Impossible smashes through stereotypes about disabled people through the lens of their lived experiences. In this wild explosion of truth, sexy disabled people and exciting movement you can expect to laugh, cry and question the world around you.
Created by award winning, spicy, inclusive dance-theatre company Moxie Brawl, Tramshed and a company of local Disabled adults. This is the first performance in Tramshed’s three-year N’Abled partnership, commissioned by Metro GAD and the Rupert Prokofiev Award.
