Winter's Tale @ Agecroft Hall

Shakespeare’s royal romance with an enchanted ending. What starts as a celebration in the court of Sicily turns sour once its King Leontes believes that his wife has forsaken him for his childhood friend. After the downfall of a kingdom and a 16-year “winter” of reflection, this tale erupts into spring, revealing new love, revelry, and forgiveness. And, of course, the most famous stage direction in Shakespeare: “Exit, pursued by a bear.”

• New for 2026: Lawn seating only - please bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on!

• Blankets, chairs, and small coolers are permitted for pre-show picnicking on the lawn. Umbrellas, tents, tables, and other shelters are prohibited.

• Cancellation Policy: Patrons will receive cancellation-related updates by 5:30 pm on the day of the show announced via email, Facebook & Instagram.

• Instead of canceling, the performance could be brought inside. Should the show be canceled (including after the show begins), all ticket-holding patrons will be eligible to: 1) receive a refund of 50% of the ticket cost, or 2) convert the ticket cost to a tax-deductible donation to Traveling Players.
